Sara Holst - Groomer
Sara's love for animals began from childhood. She knew from a very young age, that she wanted a career field involving animals, as she would take care of and play veterinarian with her stuffed toys.

She began her career as a professional dog groomer in 1991. Taking extra care and attention to the first-time puppies, making sure they get the best experience and enjoy many years of grooms for the rest of their lives.
Although her speciality is puppies, she has a tender hand and treats elder dogs and all ages in between with her own special touch.

Throughout her 25 years of grooming at Shear Heaven Pet Salon, she has never gone a day without her own fluffy family member, whether it be rabbits, birds, dogs, or goats. Animals have and will continue to always be a part of her life.

Sara's life has had a few ups and downs. In 2012 she was diagnosed with cancer and sadly had to step away from grooming for a year to undergo chemotherapy. Thankfully, she made a full recovery and is now cancer free. While the experience was a life-changing event, it helped connect her with customers who had those hardships. She is grateful to be alive, to continue doing what she loves, and to have a new connection with customers that she would not have had before.

Now with her new outlook on life, you can see it blossoming into her grooming. Shaping flowers on fur and using pet-safe dye to add color. She started practicing her flower art on her own dog. It is a fun way to let her creative side shine.
